This majestic 16 hand stallion was imported from the U.S. Currently and is a beautiful steely grey color. He carries the black gene, and may produce color. Diestro was chosen for his dressage movement and is proving to be the right choice. He was started under saddle in 2002 in dressage training, with Charlotte Brammer coached by Trish Hardy, Canadian National Dressage Champion.

Diestro possesses not only great movement, but also an exceptional temperament, very gentle and sweet natured. Diestro is very elegant with beauty, presence, movement and disposition – this handsome, athletic stallion has it all. He is registered with the IALHA #4612PSP.

Diestro has sired both fillies and colts and each one has his wonderful temperament and movement.

Pedigree

Diestro's sire was an impressive jet-black stallion who stood over 16 hands. Ascension sired very few offspring before his unfortunate death at a very young age. Ascension's sire was Maestro a jet-black stallion as calm as a dove, who's sire was Dejado, a magnificent stallion bred by M. Femanda de la Escalera, the most recognized breeder of champion blacks in Spain. Ascension's dam was Granada K, an awesome black 16.1 hand imported mare, her sire was Belico, a pure Carthusian stallion and her dam is Diablura from the Cardenas stallion Genil (Champion of Spain). This entire line has shown great promise in dressage horses with talent for the higher levels.

Diestro's dam is Honesta D, who has produced horses which excel in dressage. Her movement is best suited for this discipline. Her sire is Despierto, a black Spanish Portuguese stallion, who has won numerous national championships. As a sire, Despierto is the leading sire of Spanish-Portuguese horses in the World. His Get have won more National Championships, Reserves, Top Fives and Futurities than any other horse of his Bloodlines. His Spanish Bloodline traces closely to Maluso. Despierto is continuing to be shown in Dressage.
